A
Creative Drama Workshop
This workshop is open to anybody age 7 and over, including teens and
adults. The maximum number of participants is 20.
In 2010, the camp runs from Monday, August 9th
to Friday, August 27th, weekdays only from 9 am to 12 noon.

The
first week will focus on creative activities using spontaneous
movement, the imagination, the voice, the senses, emotions and
conflict, and character building.
The
second and third weeks will include bringing interesting facts and
ideas to life on the stage, using the skills learned.
Participants
will work together on short sketches and scenes that will be presented
to parents and friends on the last day of the workshop.
If
you are registering two or more members of your immediate family, the
cost for the first is $75 and other applicants are $60 each.
Financial support is available if needed. Please indicate on
the registration form.
The workshop will include floor activities which will involve lots of
movement. Pants and soft-soled shoes are preferred.
Refreshments are not provided. Bring a mid-morning snack if
desired. Please, no peanut or sesame products.
The
facilitator of this workshop, Al Hazell, is a former teacher who has
acted and directed at Mt. Tabor Playhouse and the Regent Theatre
(Picton).
