A Creative Drama Workshop

This workshop is open to anybody age 7 and over, including teens and adults.  The maximum number of participants is 20.

In 2010, the camp runs from Monday, August 9th to Friday, August 27th, weekdays only from 9 am to 12 noon.

The first week will focus on creative activities using spontaneous movement, the imagination, the voice, the senses, emotions and conflict, and character building.

The second and third weeks will include bringing interesting facts and ideas to life on the stage, using the skills learned.  Participants will work together on short sketches and scenes that will be presented to parents and friends on the last day of the workshop.

If you are registering two or more members of your immediate family, the cost for the first is $75 and other applicants are $60 each.

Financial support is available if needed.  Please indicate on the registration form.

The workshop will include floor activities which will involve lots of movement.  Pants and soft-soled shoes are preferred.

Refreshments are not provided.  Bring a mid-morning snack if desired.  Please, no peanut or sesame products.

The facilitator of this workshop, Al Hazell, is a former teacher who has acted and directed at Mt. Tabor Playhouse and the Regent Theatre (Picton).
